Before I forget, let me say this.
Congratulations to Patricia Bell of CBC Iqaluit. On May 23, she won a big prize at the Canadian Association of Journalists’ annual banquet in Vancouver: first place in the “Scoop” category for her work on the Nunavut Business Credit Corp. fiasco.
Your humble content provider was too preoccupied with the modest accomplishments of his own news-gathering organization to give timely recognition to Patricia’s well-deserved win.
But it’s a huge honour. The annual CAJ awards are the only ones in Canada that emphasize investigative reporting.
This means Patricia’s peers deemed her one of the best in the country. Take note, Nunavummiut.
